14TH – 16TH APRIL 2013

The German Business Delegation in cooperation with the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce organizes a business delegation to Mombasa from the 14th to 16th of April, 2013. During this trip, the participants get the chance of an extensive tour through the port of Mombasa (including a meeting with the MD), Bamburi Cement and a weekly tea auction. Furthermore, participants will get the chance to meet the new Governor of Mombasa and local business associations. 2ND – 6TH JUNE 2013

Take advantage of the fast growing food processing and packaging sector in Kenya by joining a business delegation to Nairobi between the 2nd and 6th of June, 2013. In cooperation with the German Engineering Federation (VDMA) and AHP International, the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce organizes a market survey trip supported by the "BMWiMarkterschließungsprogramm 2013" focussing on the food processing and packaging industry.

All members are invited to attend the annual general meeting of the GBA on the 29th of Aprilfrom 12:00 to 14:00 in the German Embassy. GBA members are requested to keep time.

19TH FEBRUARY 2013

The second business luncheon will be held at the Fairview Hotel on the 19th of February. Our special guest will be Carole Kariuki, CEO of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). She will give a presentation titled "KEPSA: mandate, scope and opportunities for cooperation" and introduce GBA members to the work of KEPSA.

23RD JANUARY 2013

The first business luncheon of the GBA in 2013 will take place on the 23rd of January in the Serena Hotel Nairobi. The Deputy Ambassador of the German Embassy will attend the luncheon and give GBA members an update about the security situation regarding the upcoming general elections in March.

CREATING BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES IN HEALTHCARE IN EAST AFRICA

The 3rd annual East Africa Healthcare Federation (EAHF) conference will be hosted by the Kenya Healthcare Federation (KHF) in Nairobi, Kenya from 2nd to 4th March, 2014 at Safari Park Hotel. The Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Kenya and the German Business Association are strategic partner of this event.

EXPANDING MOBILE DATA USAGE & DRIVING MONETISATION THROUGH INDUSTRY COLLABORATION

Mobile East Africa 2014, the fourth East African edition of the most progressive and interactive mobile focused events in Sub-Saharan Africa, returns to the Southern Sun Mayfair Nairobi, Kenya on February 12th through 14th.

WORKSHOP

The Delegation of German Industry in Kenya together with the German Business Association (GBA) organized a finance workshop at the Intercontinental Hotel Nairobi. The conference provided a platform for key stakeholders in the finance sectors in Kenya to exchange network and fabricate tangible ideas to bolster the sector. Suffice to say, the conference had a turnout, where by close to 50 participants from different financial institutions, convened to put their heads together to share ideas. 29TH APRIL 2014

The Annual General Meeting of the GBA took place on 29/04/2014 at the Kempinski Hotel. Present at the meeting were 40 members, who heralded the growth of the GBA membership,over the past one year from 80 companies to currently 110 companies. The meeting also saw 3 outgoing members honoured and the election of 3 new members to the board.
