The Surgeon
Dr. Tilman Stasch MBChB, MRCS, MD, F EBOPRAS is an internationally qualified Aesthetic, Plastic,Reconstructive and Hand Surgeon with over 15 years of international experience in this field. As an alumni of the University of Cape Town Medical School (MBChB) and the prestigious Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (MRCS Ed.), he specialized as a Plastic Surgeon and Hand Surgeon in the UK and Germany (Facharzt). He also holds a diploma for medical laser therapies. His academic research engagement earned him the highest honours for his MD thesis (summa cum Claude) at the University of Witten / Cologne, Germany, as well as several national and international academic accolades and prizes.
As a Fellow of the European Board of Plastic Reconstructive Surgeons (EBOPRAS), he is recognized as a keynote speaker at International Surgical Conferences presenting his work on stem cell therapy, liposuction and fat grafting, whilst also conducting surgical workshops for peers and colleagues.
Dr. Stasch has been working in Nairobi, Kenya, since 2011 with a special interest in skin cancers, aesthetic body contouring, facial and advanced skin rejuvenation.

German School Nairobi wins an award
The German School Nairobi was awarded the third place at the World Conference of the German Delegations of Industry and Commerce in Berlin on 15th May 2018.The school won the prize for its successful partnership with the Star Kid School that is located at Nairobi’s Githongoro slum. The long standing cooperation between the two schools is based on intercultural dialogue, Science education and vocational training. In their partnership, Star Kid School students attend workshops in the Science laboratories of the German School Nairobi while the two schools jointly organize musicals aimed at further fostering the intercultural exchange.The German School Nairobi also offers free German classes to their partner school’s students and is currently taking concrete action in order to provide vocational training from 2020.
Every two years the 140 German Schools abroad located in 71 countries worldwide are called on to apply with innovative school projects and concepts. The German Foreign Minister is the patron of this competition.

On Monday 22.05.2017 a delegation of 20 GBA members set out to the land of a thousand hills for the GBA Rwanda trip. Braving the morning cold, the team departed at 5am, arriving in Kigali at 7am.
