In almost 25 years of operation we have built up considerable expertise and experience within the region and have established a proven track record of successfully delivering high quality, complex and prestigious construction projects within a wide range of sectors. Whilst the main geographic focus of our work has been East Africa, we are prepared to establish a broader base for our operations by expansion into other countries when required.

The annual GBA Jazz Brunch took place on 29th June, 2019 in the bright sunshine at the Zen Garden Restaurant in Nairobi. More than 150 GBA members and families enjoyed a delicious buffet, accompanied by jazz sounds of "Jacob Asiyo & Band". During this traditional GBA event, members and their families had the opportunity to talk informally, and network in a relaxed atmosphere. The event was also graced by German Ambassador to Kenya, H.E. Annett Günther.

Six new members of the German Business Association Kenya (GBA) presented themselves on May 9, 2019 as part of a networking breakfast.
With 16 new members having joined in the past year, GBA now has a total of 130 companies as members.
“We are continuously growing and very satisfied about our quality membership development,” Maren Diale-Schellschmidt, Board Secretary of the GBA
and Country Director of the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce (AHK Kenya), said in her welcome address at the event at the Trademark Hotel.

The event which was attended by 40 GBA members ended with lively discussions and networking among the participants.
Fast Five (SAF) rode by Lesley Sercombe took the day at the 2nd Gillies Guineas German Race Day organized by the German Business Association in Kenya and sponsored by AHK. Lesly and Fast Five took home the cup for winning the 5th Race, also the race of the day, dubbed The Fillies Guineas. The event attracted other sponsors namely DT Dobie, Alibhai Shariff, Sixt and KHS each sponsoring a race.
There were 6 other races including the first and second AHK Races won by Macushla rode by J.Lokorian and Korowe rode by J. Muhindi respectively. The third race dubbed The DT Dobie Race was won by Peligroso rode by P.Kiarie. while Gold Pot rode by P. Mungai took the Alibhai Sharif Chilli Cup. Finally, Trade Secret rode by J.Muhindi took home the win for the Sixt Race while Piece of Cake rode by Lesley Sercombe again took the KHS Race.
The event, which attracted hundreds of individuals, families and corporates doubled up as an exciting day or horse racing and a networking opportunity for new relationships and opportunities to be born. We were graced by the presence of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Kenya, Mrs. Annett Gunther, who presented Ms. Sercombe with the winning cup for the race of the day. Also in attendance was the Deputy Ambassador and Head of Economic Affairs at the German Embassy in Kenya, Mr. Michael Derus, German Business Association Chairlady Danniela Pleitz and AHK Country Director Maren Diale-Schellshcmidt.
